Do Not Discount Yourself

You Are Valuable

Hello Friends. Sometimes it can be an uphill battle to accept yourself for who you really are. The fightings within, whatever they may be, can seem never-ending and you can tend to use yourself as a punching bag the more you become impatient with yourself.  The good that you want to do can seem far-fetched or even unreachable, and you wonder, ‘Will ever get it right?’ What you go through on the inside (even though you may be good at hiding it at face value), is dictating how you respond to life outwardly, through your character. This struggle can often seem confusing, but can I tell you that it is a necessary process in you becoming who you were created to be? Do not discount yourself.

In the journey to self-discovery, or to your authentic self, it may even seem like your inward struggles have their roots in what is going on around you.  Your personal life experiences, your environments, and family traits are what you think is causing you to be at a deficit. However, if you put things in the right perspective, you will realize that it’s truly all about what is going on on the inside of you that dictates the outward. Life experiences, and the way people treat you, merely act as triggers to what is really going on inside you. These dispositions do not have to be seen as negative things, even though they can be, but they are also a mirror for us to see our true nature (a sinful nature) and the things that we need to submit to the Lord so that He can help us change.

If you continuously blame your insecurities on what is happening on the outside, like people’s opinions of you, their expectations concerning you, and their dislikes about you, you will not just be beating up on yourself, but you will beat up on others as well. Two of the ingredients for a destructive and unhealthy image and character is to add blame to insecurities. These ingredients can leave you feeling confused, misunderstood, rejected, out of place, and even depressed, but with the right perspective/God’s perspective, you will overcome the negatives.

My friends, the inward is the place where we need our creator to touch. Only He can make our insecurities and brokenness make sense. Only He can make us whole within and give us a positive outlook on life in general. He wants to help us in this struggle. When we allow Him to touch our hidden sensitivities, and the places that others cannot easily see, we allow ourselves the freedom to live a wholesome and positive life in every way. That healing from the inside will spill out to the external and you will begin to value yourself more than anyone else can. So, do not discount yourself. Be patient with yourself. Trust the process and let God do the work He needs to do in you.

No human being is a perfect human being. We were born into a fallen world and we are of a sinful nature, but we must be humble enough to accept that and be willing to be changed from the inside as necessary.

Peace and Love!!!
