Reflections

1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror;then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

Hello friends. Have you ever taken the time to ‘self-reflect’? Do you ever stop to take a look at who you really are, from the soul and spiritual aspects of your being? Do you look in the mirror of truth and see what is true about YOU?

WELL, IF YOU DO……

Does the answer make you feel good, or does it make you feel accountable to doing the work that needs to be done to have a better reflection of what you see about YOU?

My friends, there is a time in all of our lives when we much truly quiet ourselves, amidst the distractions, amidst the hypnotic rhythm of life, the busyness, the chaos, and look at who we truly are. We all must come to the place, if we have not, when we ask ourselves, “Am I doing right?” “Am I thinking right?” “Am I making the right responses in life?” “How am I treating myself”? “How am I treated others?” Am I living the life my Creator is pleased with and is calling me to live?

These are relevant life questions my friends, and they are vital to your eternity. So…….

BE STILL FOR A MOMENT…….PAUSE…..TAKE A LOOK…….. QUESTION……..

Who do you see? Who are you a reflection of? What does your character say? What does the life you are living say?

Have you allowed your life’s traumas, wounds, disappointments, be your mirror, or have you allowed the word of God, the grace of God, and the love of God be your mirror?

I encourage you today my friend, to look in the mirror of God’s word. It will tell you EXACTLY what you look like. It will tell you EXACTLY who you look like. His mirror will not lie to you. He is the one Who created you. He created you in His likeness and in His image, to look like Him and be like Him. So ask yourself, is He the reflection you see? If you are seeing what does not look like Him, then know He wants to help you make the necessary changes.

No one is perfect. No one is without sin, and this is why He put within us a void, a yearning to be perfect, a yearning to be sin free. When we recognize this, He intensifies a hunger, and thirst for Him that ONLY He can fill and quench. He then comes in and transforms us. He gives us a new mind and heart that seeks for His ways, and that wants to follow His ways. As we do this through His strength, we begin to see our reflection change. Our sinful nature no longer has rule over us. We now begin to see His good character in us.

The way we behave, the way we respond, the choices that we make, the way that we speak, the way that we treat ourselves, the way that we treats others makes a shift for the better. there is no need to be afraid. Don’t hesitate, and don’t be ashamed to look into that mirror. Come face to face with the truth, so you can face the world in truth and in confidence. Contribute to making the world a better place by looking at yourself and making the changes in you that need to be made. You can only accomplish this through the word of God, and with the help of God. Then you can reflect His image. HE is what the world needs to see through YOU.

Peace and Love!
