Hello Friends! Have you ever felt like God is not answering your prayers? Have you ever felt like God only answers particular prayers, or particular people? Have you ever felt like you’ve waited long enough and demand God sends the answer to you right away? Have you ever felt like, because God didn’t answer your prayer, then He must not love you? These are all valid and real feelings that we experience even as Believers in Christ. When we are waiting on God to answer our prayers we can easily get in these moods. As human beings, we try to have it all our way, and as quickly as we can have it. Nonetheless, these are feelings that we will go through as we learn to trust our Heavenly. However, these feelings cannot be more further from the truth, so Let’s search the Bible so that we can expose the truth, and dispel these lies.
Jesus said something very profound and eye opening in the book of Matthew chapter 7 and verse 11. He said, “If you being evil ( born of sinful nature), know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask. So, we see from this scripture that God indeed wants to answer our prayers. He is our Heavenly Father and loved us enough to sacrifice His only Begotten Son on a cross for us. He Who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all-how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things? Romans 8:32. Now, does that sound like a God who does not answer your prayers?! No friends, God if Faithful who promised. It’s quite the opposite. While our earthly parents may love us dearly, They are very much limited. They can only do for us what is in their capability to do. God is not limited. He can do anything.
However, there are so many things God has to correct for us and in us. There are so many thoughts in our mind that come to try and steal the truth of God from us. You see, the enemy wants us not to believe the truth of God, and STAND FIRM on God’s word. Instead, the enemy wants us to believe his lies. Therefore, we MUST make up in our minds that we are going to believe the word of God no matter what. This is why we need to read the word of God, and obey it, so that we will know our rights as a son/daughter of God. We must develope the confidence and trust in God to the point that even if He doesn’t answer a prayer, we will STILL trust Him. He loves you, be secure in His unfailing love toward you.
Sometimes, we just have to look at our request from a different perspective. As, mentioned earlier, there are so many things God has to correct for us and in us because we live in a fallen world. Our minds can be a battlefield of ignorance, lies and thought that are not from God, or even ourselves. Satan will put these false thoughts in your mind and if your mind is not stayed on God He will cause you to forfeit promises graciously given to you. However, like any loving Father, God wants to protect and correct us. God does not raise spoiled, or entitled sons and daughters. He must teach us and process us so that when we pray, we pray according to His will for our lives. We pray His word back to Him. We already Know that He loves us and will give us all things graciously through Jesus.
So friends, let’s rethink all those feelings we mentioned in the beginning. Let that devil know that he is a liar and you recognize his tactics. Instead of having a pity party, or even at worse be mad at God for ‘NOT ANSWERING,’ Let’s ask Him, Lord, What would You like to show me, and teach me as I wait on you for the answer? Is there a sin/iniquity in my heart that I need to renounce? Is this prayer request something I need to fast about in order to get the answer? Ask Him. Is this request something You approve of? Is what I want the best thing for me at this time? Friends, your Heavenly Father is ONLY going to give you good things. Be thankful He has your best interest at heart. He has a plan for you, remember, and He wants those plans to come to pass and will do what He will until those plans come to fruition. His is to Plan to prosper you. His plan is to give you hope and a future.
Don’t stop praying friends. Be refreshed in your mind about your approach to prayer. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16. Men ought always to pray, and not faint. Luke 18:1.
Pray, There is Always an Answer.
