Safe and Sound

Hello Friends, Do you ever take note of your day-to-day protection, all it entails, and what you need protection from? From the time you wake up in the morning, to the time you lay down to rest, then as you sleep throughout the night.  While some have all types of safety mechanisms in place, and you try your best to cover and shield yourself from whatever harm or danger you think may come your way, are you mindful that you cannot truly cover yourself in every way without the help of a greater source?  Can I tell you friends that no matter what you think you can do in your own human ability to safeguard yourself in the physical, it is your spiritual protection that is most important.

At some point in our lives, we are going to experience some situations that are beyond our human abilities. We are going to experience some things that no amount of self-safety mechanism can protect us from. The only thing that is gonna prove faithful in your true protection is to abide under the shadow of the Almighty. If you truly look and see, you would realize that it is only the hand of God that kept you from danger. Danger comes in the form of many things and can play out in any capacity of our lives.

Psalm 91 states the many promises of protection that we need, but it also gives criteria by which we obtain these promises. Verse 1 of this chapter says, “He that dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.”  What is this saying to us in real-time/now time? Well, what it is simply saying is that if we have the Most High (God) as your life’s covering, then you do not have to worry, or fear about any danger, or sickness. He provides the protection that we need and we can feel safe and sound in His dwelling. Harm will try to seek you, but He not allow anything to overtake you.

Friends, is God truly your protection? Make sure that He is the one safeguarding your life. Do not rely on some material thing, another person, money, some good luck charm or crystal, burning sage, or some magic spell to work for you.  Those things have no true power. All the powers that be are subject to one power, THE POWER OF THE MOST HIGH.  So be in the assurance that whatever dangers come to threaten your life, that you have a refuge and a fortress built in Him. Life is fragile, and we are indeed going to experience many trials while we are here, therefore it would be careless to walk around thinking we have it all together as if we can control everything. It is in our best interest to follow the criteria of Psalm 91 and trust God with your life. We can live in the promises that are written in the scriptures. They are for us to experience.

The writer of this particular Psalm speaks with the confidence that he himself has experienced these very promises. We too can cling to these verses of scripture not just when crises come, but we must make these verses of scripture a part of our day-to-day lives. Be assured today, like never before, that if you make the Most High your dwelling place, you are safe and sound. You can rely on Him to protect you 100 percent.  He will comfort you and keep you through whatever tragedy/crisis comes your way.

Friends, this assurance gives you the confidence to know that if you are wide awake, or if you are asleep, when you are going about handling your business and not thinking about any present danger, you know that God is the one with His eyes on you. He commands His angels to take charge over you. They surround those who fear Him. They will not allow anything outside of His will to happen to you. No plague, no pestilence, no terror, no enemy will get the best of you. You are safe and will maintain a sound mind in Him. He is the refuge and strength we will all need in these days. Trust His promise to keep you safe and sound.

Peace and Love!
