Hello Friends, Psalm 51:10-12 KJV, says, “Create in me a clean heart, oh God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence; and take not thy Holy Spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.”
What must we do to have a clean heart and a right spirit? Firstly, we must desire it. As we desire a clean heart, we must ask the only one who can do this type of cleansing in us, God, the one who created us. It is also His desire that our hearts are made clean, and therefore He is more than willing to begin this cleansing in us. Scripture tells us the state of the human heart. It is deceitful, and desperately wicked; who can know it, Jeremiah 17:9 KJV.
You see friends, we ourselves don’t really know what can be embedded in our hearts until the right situation arises to expose what is truly in it. We can say with our mouths how we think we may react in a situation, or how we may treat another person, but we don’t really know until we are actually faced with a particular situation that can trigger evil responses. It is vital that we take an introspective look into our hearts on a daily basis, asking the Lord to clean us of any impurities that may be in us and cause us to sin.
The Spirit of God helps us to recognize our shortcomings through the word of God that acts as a light to show us the dark areas in our heart. As we read God’s word our minds become renewed and in turn, so will our hearts. The blood of Jesus blots out the sins we commit as a result of an impure heart and we can now be more sincere in our motives. Friends, Christ has made all this possible, just allow Him access to your heart and He will make it clean.
Peace and Love 🙏🏾❤️
