A Cry of My Heart

Just as my heart is overwhelmed with joy, so can it be overwhelmed with sadness. Just as my heart is overwhelmed with fear, so can it be overwhelmed with love.

“Keep your heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:23

My heart is my most intimate place. A place that filters my feelings. It is here where my emotions flow. It is a place of rest for what I choose to hold near and dear, Positively and negatively.

This heart of mine is capable of being broken, and it has been, time and time again.

This heart of mine also keeps healing, and it has healed, time and time again.

This heart of mine influences my thoughts/mind, and then my thoughts/mind triggers my emotions, and then my emotions trigger my attitude. Yes! I see that I must guard this heart of mine.

Even though my intentions are to think and do what is right and wholesome; there are unwanted actions I struggle to tame. There are unwanted actions that need not be manifested.

You see

This heart of mine is my life line. It shows my flow and determines the outcome of my future.

SO WHAT DO I DO?

I give this heart of mine to God, the one Who so intricately formed me. He knows best what to do with it. He will remove the hardness. He will bind up the brokenness and heal the pain that came. He will make it whole. He will purify it. He will make it like His.

What is your heart’s cry?

What is your heart’s posture?

Present it to be healed. Present it to be made whole. Present it to the one who knows the very heart of you.

Peace and Love
