Psalm 46:10, Be still and know that I am God.
Hello Friends, life is full of mysteries. It has many twists and turns, ups and downs, rough patches, as well as smooth grounds. Life can make you question; What is it all for? Sometimes we experience overwhelming joy, sometimes we experience overwhelming sorrow. Nonetheless, regardless of what we may be experiencing at this present time, sometimes we just need to be still.
The psalmist begins this chapter of scripture (Psalm 46:1) by saying, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” He goes on to encourage us not to fear, even if the very earth we stand on begins to crumble. Yes! life can bring many scary, unplanned for situations that can cause us to feel like we are crumbling at the very core. It does not matter how strong we think we are, or how much we think we can handle. We must always look to the only one who can truly help us. Verse 5 of Psalm 46 says, “God will help her, she will not fall; God will help her at the break of day.”
So friends, do not be dismayed. Where ever you are at physically, emotionally, spiritually, God will help you. It is very easy to give thanks in the good times when everything is falling into the right place and looking good for you. However, when trials come (and they surely will) we tend to get shaky in our belief that God is with us and is still helping us. These scriptures are assuring us that YES! God is indeed with us through everything we will ever go through in this world.
BE STILL and know that He is God; He will be exalted in every situation, you just have to trust Him. Give Him the opportunity to show you what He can do. He loves you. He is your fortress.
Peace and Love!
