Lord, calm my anxious heart. Let my mind be stayed on you. Let me give You thanks and praise as I wait on You. Give me the peace that surpass all understanding so I can rest in You.
When my heart is anxious Lord, I get overwhelmed with things you did not say concerning me and your promises seem far away. Keep watch over my heart Lord, and instruct me.
Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
When my heart is anxious, it is the most awful feeling. It challenges my peace in You. I cannot think soundly, and confusion comes to bully me.
When my heart is anxious, fear knocks on my door to try and steal the fruits you have allowed me to bear. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. Emotions that do not bear Your Spirit’s fruit try to take control.
When my heart is anxious, it dulls my ear to Your voice. Anxiety can be so loud. But yet in the midst of it all, I can still hear You say, in that still soft way, “Be anxious for nothing, just pray.”
YES, Lord You hear my cry. You understand the challenge of my faith, and you soothe me with Your peace. You have heard every prayer I have prayed and You will bring to fruition everything you have promised me.
