Confidence is Key

1 John 5:14-15 says, And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to his will He hears us: 15. And because we know that He hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desire of Him.

Hello friends!, This scripture is telling us that when we pray, that we should do so with an attitude of confidence. When we make a petition/request, or ask God for something no matter what it is, we should ask with a humble and grateful attitude already knowing that He will answer, and just give Him thanks. Your confidence/faith/belief in God is key in being at peace as you wait on the answers to your prayers. Having a sincere relationship with God will build your confidence level in Him.  When you come to the knowledge that God loves you unconditionally, and wants the best for you, you will have no doubt in your mind that He wants to give you whatsoever you ask. He wants your life to be abundant. He wants you to know that you can rely on Him and that He is always ready to answer your requests.

Life is not just about trials, and God will not put more on you than you can bear. We grow and learn through life lessons and some can be very difficult, but after you would have been stretched, you would realize that you overcame the thing that you thought you couldn’t. Your confidence in Him was just made stronger…… God’s love for us is childlike, free, exciting, selfless, sincere. He proved it by giving His only begotten son, to die in the most shameful way, so that we can boldly approach Him about whatever we need. If God went to this extreme to prove His love for us, how shall He not freely give us all we need? Love builds confidence, and the blood of Christ has paid your debt, therefore no principality can stop your prayers from  being answered. Your confidence in God pushes past every doubt cause Christ is speaking on your behalf in Heaven. How exciting!!! How powerful!!!. How freeing to believe, to know and to experience life in this way.

My friends, if you are still waiting on answers to your personal prayers, and prayers that you have prayed on behalf of others, I hope to encourage you today to have confidence in God.  Ask Him to refresh your mind with 1John 5;14-15. You may be tired of waiting. You may be feeling like giving up completely on your desires and requests. You may be silently angry with God, but just remember what Christ did for you on the cross and allow His sacrifice to boost your confidence level today.

Peace and Love. Confidence is key.
