Hello Friends. If you know anything about building a building, you would know that one of the first, and most important stages of building is the foundation stage. The foundation is the core strength of the building and must be strong enough to withstand everything that will be laid upon it. The foundation also holds within it, all the essentials for the power source to flow through the entire building when it is completed. If the foundation is not sound/solid, then the entire building is at risk of crumbling to the ground. Imagine that. Imagine all that time, materials, labor and money spent and put into something expected to outlast the test of time just fall to pieces. Destroyed. What anguish that would bring.
Friends, we can look at our lives in the same way. We must build our lives to withstand the tests of time, so we can function to the beat of our ability in this world. We must also live a life that will secure us an eternity of everlasting life for when our time in this world is done. As you apply this analogy to your life, I want you remember all the hard work you have put into your life over the years. The challenges you faced, the sacrifices you made, only to have one crisis completely destroy you. Well my friends, can I tell you that if your life is not built on the son of God, your life indeed will be a wasted existence.
You see friends, life is a very important and special gift. The way we live our lives shows our strengths and our weaknesses. Life is designed with trials and troubles. Death, divorce, relationship problems, sicknesses, injustices, financial issues and so many other issues. However, only Godly living will speak for you. When you stand before your Creator. If Christ is the foundation and power source of your life, your life WILL withstand any situation/crisis. But building a life without Christ is like building a house on the sand. When troubles or testing comes, you will have no strength to stand on your own and hold up the heavy weight life can bring. {ref Matthew 7:24-27 parable of wise and foolish builder}.
So friends, I encourage you to make Christ your foundation. He is the most firm, secure, and solid source you can stand on in this world. He will hold you up and be your strength in times of weakness. He will protect you in times of trouble. He will supply all your needs and secure you everlasting life. Don’t do life without Him. Even though it may feel hard at times, trust that everything in your life is working for your good because you are trusting Christ and you have made Him your “Firm Foundation,” He LOVES YOU!
Peace and Love
