And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
The “Lamb’s Book of Life” is God’s register containing the names of all individuals who have received salvation and eternal life through Jesus Christ His Son. It signifies whether or not you have been accepted into eternal life. Only those listed in the book will be granted entry into God’s eternal kingdom, while those not found in it face eternal judgment.
Hello friends. As we face perilous times, as death approaches each person, and as the coming of Christ (our salvation) draws near; have you taken the time to take inventory of your life? This is vitally important. Are you living a life that assure that your name is written in the Lambs Book of Life? Have you accepted the Son of God as your savior? Are you living out your belief in Him? Are you following His commands? Are you loving your neighbor as you love yourself? Are you seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness in your daily life? Are you walking worthy of your calling?
Yes! My friends. We must ask ourselves all these important questions, and be confident in the answers. You see, there will be a role call, promised by God, and He is not slack concerning His promises as His word declares in 2 Peter 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Therefore friends, this is the time to assure that when He opens that book, that YOUR name will be found there. If you are not sure, RIGHT NOW will be a good time. Tomorrow is not promised to you. The book of Psalm says in verse 12 of chapter 20, “Teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” Therefore, I want to encourage you today, as I encourage myself, to think on these things. Number your days because each day you have is by the grace and mercy of God. Be wise in your choices and the way you live out this life. Remember that as you live your best life, that you will have to give an account for it.
Your Heavenly Father loves you so much that He has made a way for you to be free from the sinful patterns of this world. You don’t have to let a sinful nature rule you. You can submit your life to God, through the acceptance of His Son, Who will give you His Spirit to help you live a life that He approves of. You will not just live your best life, but you will live a blessed life. When you live the life Christ died for you to live, you can be assured that your name is written in the Book of Life, and that you will live eternally in His Kingdom.
So don’t waste your time, redeem it. Repent of your sins and live a LIFE OF REPENTANCE. If you stumble in faith with God, just cry out to Him with a pure heart and He will restore you, but do not continue in sin with shame. Do not harden your heart either against the one who died that you can live. He is writing. What will be written of you?
