Keep Praying

Hello Friends! Jesus said, “Men ought always to pray, and not to faint;” He goes on to tell a parable of a woman who relentlessly went before an ungodly judge to grant her justice. She pleaded with him day after day and did not relent. The judge was weary of this woman and finally granted her what she had been petitioning for because of her persistence. This parable can be found in Luke 18:1-8.

What can we learn from the woman in this parable as we follow Jesus’ command to pray without ceasing? The simple answer is to do just that, keep praying until you receive what you have been praying for. Sometimes we get discouraged when we don’t see our prayers being answered in the time frame that we want. Sometimes we just don’t feel like prying.  Sometimes we even stop praying altogether about situations thinking that God is not going to answer our request. But if an ungodly judge can grant the request of a persistent woman, then we must trust that God our Father will answer the cries of His children who come before Him day and night.

Friends, whatever the petitions of your heart may be, know that God will do the thing that is in your best interest. Just do not stop praying. As you align your will with His, there is no request He will not answer.
