Genesis 18:14 NLT
14 Is anything too difficult or too wonderful for the [a]Lord? At the appointed time, when the season [for her delivery] comes, I will return to you and Sarah will have a son.”
Nothing happens before the Lord’s time.
The Lord has appointed times and seasons that He has predestined concerning His promises to you.
The Lord knows your heart’s desires. He Himself puts them in you, so that He can prove who He is to you, and bring His plans to fruition.
He has not forgotten His promise to you, even though you may feel it’s been so……… long, or the conditions may not make sense logically.
You may feel that because your prayers have not been answered as yet, that it’s a lost cause.
In this scripture (Genesis 18:14), the Lord wants to remind us, just as He reminded His servant Abraham that nothing is too difficult or too wonderful for Him to do.
With God ALL things are possible.
Your situation may seem barren but the Lord has an appointed time in which He will make you fertile, so that His plan and purpose is fulfilled in and through you. It doesn’t matter how old your prayer request is, as long as you are a child of God, and you are in right standing with Him, it’s only a matter of time before you see His promise to you come to pass.
God will do it!!!
You may even laugh 😂, like Abraham’s wife Sarah did (Gen 18:12). The human circumstances just doesn’t look promising. Your circumstances may not fit the script so to speak; BUT if the Lord says He will do it……… If the Lord promised it to you, then expect it to happen.
NOTE TO SELF;
NOTHING IS TOO DIFFICULT OR TOO WONDERFUL FOR GOD TO DO FOR ME.
As a matter of fact, sometimes, when you least expect it, God’s appointed time sounds the alarm ⏰ for your breakthrough, desire, and long awaited answer.
The scripture states, and is telling us that at the appointed time, when the season for your delivery comes, God will show Himself to you through that long awaited thing.
God is a promise keeper. You have seen it time and time again. Why would He not keep His promise to you now. He is faithful, as you already know, so do not let what seems impossible cause you to doubt Him. Think of the things He has already brought you through. The things He has done on your behalf. Things you probably didn’t even deserve.
God is also a tester (not a tempter). This is important to know as you wait. The seasons test your ability to function in the promise. Can you handle the promise responsibly? Think about it. Your due process is necessary. You must go through the seasons of testing, so that you can see what is in you! No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly., (Psalm84:11). He only wants to fortify you. God knows exactly how, what, when, and where is best for you. TRUST THE PROCESS.
PONDER THIS
🟣It generally takes up to 39-40 weeks for a pregnancy to come to full term; The baby needs that time to develop all its body parts and functions so that a healthy baby is born.
🟣The Hebrews were in the wilderness for 40 years; Why 40 years for an 11 day journey? God had to change their mindset, stinking thinking, the ways they had developed from being in bondage for so long. Disobedience and idolatry. They needed to develop full trust in God, a heart of gratitude and a mind that would not turn from the One who wanted to give them everything they needed and more.
🟣Jesus fasted 40 days; He went through great testing and temptation before He was fully ready for ministry.
🟣In Deuteronomy 25:3, the Law of Moses limited punishment to no more than forty lashes; after which the consequence would have been satisfied.
DO YOU SEE THE PATTERN?
40 represents a time of full testing before the promise or reward comes.
The point is, no matter the length of time you have been waiting, due process is necessary (as stated earlier). Whatever season you may be in, God knows exactly when to deliver.
He will not do it prematurely.
You may think, or say you trust in God already, but that trust may only be a matter of circumstance.
Psalms 27:14 NIV encouraged us to
Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord.
So buckle up soldier, help is on the way. What God had promised you will soon come to pass. Soon your waiting will be in the past. No more worrying, or fretting. No more discounting what you know God has said. Remain on faith and obedience to Him. There is nothing too difficult or too wonderful for God to do for you. He will deliver.
Peace and Love!
