But Love
Romans 13:8 Kjv, Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
Hello friends, Are you someone who struggles with people pleasing? Are you someone who is so concerned about the welfare of another to the point where you put others above yourself and sometimes to your detriment? When you hear someone is in need or someone calls you for help, do you just go running to their rescue without a thought? Are you someone who makes sacrifices knowing that someone is going to need something from you and you must be ready to help them? You sincerely look for no material thing in return, only to know that you helped to make someone’s burden lighter, helped to put a smile on someone’s face, or helped someone feel loved and cared for.
Friend, if you are this kind of human being, you will attract people who want to use you and take advantage of your sincerity. Even though you look for nothing in return, when you recognize that there are some people who are disingenuous and ungrateful, it can be an emotionally painful experience to encounter. Can I tell you friends that while your intentions are good, you must understand that God does not expect you to overwhelm or over concern your personal well being. Trust that God will work in the people he has used you to help and they too will extend the same love that they received from you. YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE A PEOPLE PLEASER.
As the scripture above states, “Owe no man any thing but to love them.” When your heart is pure toward others that is all that God is looking for from you. Because when your heart is in this posture, you will be there for others automatically. But never feel that you have missed the mark because you can’t help others in the way they want every single time. There are many ways to show love. Let God lead you to whom He wants you to help and how He wants you to help them.
PEACE AND LOVE!
